after two splendid releases of industrial house for amsterdams rush hour, the elusive b.d.i. graces running back with his presence. trading the factory for the holy see, he delivers a triptych that goes across countries, continents, time and space. paper tears is some serious vatican house and the deepest track that the paradise loft never played. coveted with the devoutness that is the tribal tears dub and a new wave whip subtitled same victories, same mistakes, there is a prayer here for every matter. comes in limited super sleeves and unlimited niceness.
for a short period in 1981 and with brand-new equipment such as roland 808, sh 101, gr 500, we made some 8-track just for fun jam tapes. mainly just to experiment for our own pleasure. from those sessions, only white horse made it to a final treatment. the rest of the material was left behind, as our record company at the time found it too different. after white horse being a track indeed defining our sound, we thought it would be interesting to dig out left-overs to fulfill a documentation of that period - crucial for us at the time. we were still innocent newcomers, without actually knowing to be creating a new sound! recently, that left-over material was transferred from analogue to digital and, to stay as true as possible to original intentions, we only added vocals, bass and drumbeats ahead of a final mix. we hope that you will enjoy listening to it. good vibes from laid back copenhagen 2012.
new 12 inch from the two founder members of pil. four track e.p. with their first musical collaboration for some time. deep bass grooves from wobble and clattering guitar from the man who many have imitated. no one does this kind of thing better than these two musicians. four tracks of unbridled musical mayhem. deep joy!

phillips is the magnificent debut album by phillip lauer on running back. frankfurts melody man has amassed a body of work that includes the adventures of arto mwambe, top singles (delta nrg) on his extinct brontosaurus label for permanent vacation or live at robert johnson as well as remixes for the likes of maxmillion dunbar or with the tuff city kids project. the twelve songs that make phillips have been described as 808 state kissing movin records while cluster are in the room –, or a dolby nr tempest. whatever you want to call it, it has all the ingredients and romantic notions that can make dance music oscillate between the sacred and the profane: house, gloomy gothic grooves, cock-eyed electro, new wave trance and lots of songs without words. the power of lauer. available on cd, nine track gatefold lp and digitally. escorted by two tensnake remixes of trainmann on rb032 and more to come…,.

introducing black orange juice for 2012 … a cosmic crew of dance floor saviours. nomads of the musical galaxy who are crazy in love and love craze. brought together by ossie of hyperdub records fame. his >tarantula< track was selected in the fact top 50 for 2011, not forgetting the awesome joe goddard >gabriel< remix for greco roman which took his sound to another level and which won him fans the world over… the all singing black orange juice, found it’s sweet spot when ossie recruited two of his closest compadres, paul black and orial, partners in crime with a history of gospel choirs, r&b quartets and lending their vocals to some of londons finest underground heros. they blend the best elements from the uk undergound with a nod to the talents of roska, jamie jones, scratcha dva and mosca, and a wave to those infectious vocal-house sounds reminiscent of hercules and love affair and azari & iii. the sound is both unique and dangerously infectious…

from the vibrant parisian house music scene of the 90s, ark already heralded the birth of our label, and pépé bradock remixed one of our most recent successes, nicolas jaar. now we turn to a man whose pure, simple approach to house music has influenced our most club-focused output. franck roger has been a great ambassador for the true meaning of french house music, from his own productions that stretch back more than ten years, through to his record label real tone. having started out producing direct, peak-time vocal cuts, francks dedication to his art has seen his music evolve across an ever-widening panorama of moods and feelings, sound sources and production methods
composite is back with a great collaboration between label boss dj yellow & his friend yota. beautiful ep revisited here by french superstar franck roger.
cassio ware digging back into the past for this new cut on on dope wax. as usual, kenny dope is the man in the mix, with the classic vocal from chip-es >like this< pitted against the bassline from esgs classic, >moody<, and some quality synth lines on an old school gem of a track for the house crowds to drool over. on the flip, that superb bassline is left to be star attraction along side those great synths on a bumping house instrumental.
the last yam who? release on demo disc sold out in record time, now we have them back for the 15th in the demo disc series. two superb edits of soul drenched boogie/ funk tracks.

b-tracks debut at the end of last year was a runaway smash, gone in a flash. the come back ep is another deadly round of deep, real dance music from the two new yorkers, schooled in vintage gotham and detroit house and techno, freshly to the manor born — driving, dub-wise, bare-bones, soulful, and melodic, by turns. once again, dont sleep on it.
venezuelan production duo fur coat is back on crosstown rebels, this time armed with the sultry west coast tones of cari golden and bomb of the season, > you and i<. calling in rising star amirali for remix duty, this essential release has got prime miami anthem written all over it.

helium robots is ewan wilmott. up until now with only two (albeit brilliant!) dissident releases under his belt - and an album on the horizon - he might have been under most peoples radar.a pity! the helium robots make imaginative factory-records-electro-balearic-disco, errr, and robot music. two tracks of that caliber are placed on the a-side. the flip has theo parrish laying his gifted hands on jarza to two different outcomes.>translation 1< is an up-to-date parrish space cadet trip, while the second take emphases the dark and typical theo magic in his roots house period.limited beautiful robot sleeve covers.the laws of robotics!
new single of the parisian trio on the franco-german label. the first track called dcl is a floating piece combining beautifull organ chords and breaking funky beats, setting on one hand a kind of religious scene and on the other hand giving the feeling to be a stream train at full speed! this is the track choosed by moritz piske, who did a jackin freaky remix out of it. got back is the other original track from the antislash. groovy baseline which reminds the remix they did for ribadisco on the salon records 02. avas verden put her voice with lyrics from her rockband lipstick, following the freaky acid lines. after their killer remix for tin man last year, we qre very happy to release this new project from antislash.
what can we say about this ep ? not much. this is a very well known house artist who wants to keep his identity secret. he sent us some parts of his old 90s house tracks and luckily they were remixed by our good friends coat of arms and breach from uk. this is a very special release for us. enjoy!
art department are back on the mothership crosstown to kick off 2012 in lurid style with a slice of slow burning, chugging disco-tech and pendulum beats in new single >touch you gently<. the b-side is taken care of with a powerful brenann green rework of >tell me why<, from the much lauded album >the drawing board<.
the opening hits of the percussion stay smooth and relaxed, and the instruments come in one-by-one – first the synth, then the strings, then the brass – to create an experience thats both engaging and relaxing. this is the sort of music i would listen to if i cruised the streets of san francisco in the evenings. as >back to the bay< wraps up and pulls us into his remix of >screw up<, we get a dose of subscapes intensity, but its quickly pulled back into matty gs signature low-bass, hip-hop/dubstep fusion beats. >jam like a tek< adds in some vocal hooks to get the crowd chanting – and you are missing out if you dont add this into your mix. deep kick drums, a snappy snare, big distortion on the scratchy bass wobbles, and the vocals all come together perfectly to create a track thatll get people grinding like mad on the dancefloor.
pirahnahead & azee project rmx, as the seasons change to fall and the leaves turn beautiful colors we are back at it again with another soulful gem. we welcome back dj garphie back to the imprint with a new single title >could you be mine< feat and co producer diviniti with some bigger than life vocals! this again is one of those projects that stay close to the heart and we hope you enjoy it as much as everyone had putting it together. play it loud and enjoy !
driving forces recordings are happy to present roberto capuanos first ep for the label.

too late for this years christmas festivities, but hopefully still an acceptable gift for vinyl enthusiasts: two previously digital-only tracks from the running back(catalogue) on one split-10inch-plate. todd terjes picturesque ambient version of ragyshs antagonist snooze 4 love is backed up by jack plugs (alias chris bishop) supernatural (disco) dub of son of sams 1984 electro punk punch nature makes a mistake. two for one, one for all and 500 copies for the world.

a re-working of defkline and red polo is whats on offer for the latest release on the ever so cheeky cheeky hot cakes. >take it back< is instantly recogniseable and is expertly re-crafted by deekline and ed solo on the a side, the super star pairing make this one a must buy. ably backed up by a phatman and robin mix, dont miss out.
what a listening pleasure! arsen1computerklub is back with his vinyl ep wont you come. here he does himself proud and provides us with two well balanced but rootical tracks that have a lot to offer. emotionally rousing like a thrilling poem, wont you come is taking us charmingly sexy on a journey into spherical realms that you simply cannot escape from. pressing low-tuned basses together with sharp sound passages - almost hymnic - characterise the groove of his tracks. with bacteria we are allowed to sit back, relax and enjoy the seductive flow. the track bacteria with its driving pace, raw and unpolished, is indeed having its finger firmly on the pulse. labels friend kleinschmageraudio is transforming the track wont you come into a breathtaking remix being in fact a sly old dog. with its stomping rhythm the remix is whooshing into your auditory cannels. marvellous!
we are proud to announce our second release, >there s a way back<, the new ep from london based producer graphics, backed with a remix from getme!s very own dam mantle.
nico stojans last release on upon you was a collaboration with the cheapers. before that, he had his debut on uy together with pele. now, the former hip- hop producer, took the streets of spain all by himself and brought back an endotherm tech-house breeze to blow-dry our backstock catalogue and in wich we can preserve our summer memories in- for the cold days ahead. not only wants the namegiving a1 of the uy054 to dancingly dig itself into the sand-beach… eaven the b1 ttitle quiet now is wearing bikini-fashion. for those who like to withdrawel in the winter into steaming halls will be gratified by the remix from hektor. the born mexican which found his way through london into berlin is turning the focal point from quit now into the direction main stage and lets the base drop. for the digital delights in life: nicos track dusty fingers is ready to be downloaded- also a consequent techno-remix from meyerdierks.
back 2 back is built around a spontaneous live jam by dj pippi, tucillo and kiko navarro in dj pippis studio on ibiza. in a few hours they had finished the track. the ep opens with tucillo and willi graffs dub, a muscular, driving, stripped down rework of the original for a popping dance floor. kokis back dub is also a floor tool that has been well tested this summer by kiko navarro with great results. the ep finishes with a very cool afriki soul remix by bhoddi satva.
10 years of killing sheep records and still no one can touch them, the original cross over dnb / hardcore label delivers this years definitivednb / hardcore release. tymon melds the genres with ease and even manages to pull off an epic dubstep drop amongst the chaos of massive kicks and snares. the dj producer rinses old skool breaks over the top of a pounding kick drum, plenty of intelligent drum choppage action.
the man with the mask shouldnt need an introduction: delsin, styrax leaves and his own present outfit have shown the mans ability to maneuver between true school techno, malicious house, break beat bombs and motor city romanticism - all ornamented with redshapes very own mark. for running back, he delivers something like a cross sum of his work. >on da floor< (>da< reads >the<) is subterranean haunted house with a broken heart, while >goom< features a take-your-shirt-off reese-bass-line. if you like it dry, the >bonus beatz< >z< reads >s<) of >goom< will satisfy your needs. bass drum jungle music
